Gloria McCullough and Ann O’Hara, the “History Ladies” of the Wayne County Historical Society Speakers’ Bureau, kicked off Fair Week at the Wayne County Public Library on Thursday, August 3, with their talk on the history of fairs in Wayne County. From the first fair in Bethany in 1822 to the 2006 version, the fairs have been social and economic high points in the county’s history.
