Nationally recognized broadcaster and Wayne/Pike Farm Bureau head Dave Williams will be honored by the Wayne County Historical Society Friday, August 13, at 30 pm at the Wayne County Fair. The "People Who Have Made a Difference in Wayne County Agriculture" Award is presented annually to individuals who have effectively promoted the interests of the agricultural community. The presentation will take place on the stage outside the J. B. Park Farm Museum. Williams, a Cherry Ridge farmer, was one of founders of the award and a former trustee of the Wayne County Historical Society, has also been active in the development and promotion of the museum.
