Press Release: Bethel School Open House July 22

Present-day students get a taste of the "good old days" at the one-room Bethel School.

The Sunday, July 22 Open House at the Bethel School will feature a presentation AT 2 pm by Sharon Olsommer, a former teacher at the Lakeville School, the last one-room school in Wayne County. The open house runs from 1 to 4 pm, with the presentation at 2 pm.

All Bethel School open houses are from 1 to 4 pm, with the special presentations at 2 pm. There is no admission charge and light refreshments will be served. Those who attended one-room schools, their children and grandchildren enjoy the programs, as well as visitors who want to learn more about education in the "good old days."
