There are still a few seats left on the Wayne County Historical Society's bus trip to the Corning Museum of Glass on Sunday, June 19. Tickets include admission to the museum and are $45 for WCHS members and $50 for non-members. The current featured exhibit is East Meets Cross-Cultural Influences in Glassmaking in the 18th and 19th Centuries, a fascinating look at the influences on glassmaking brought about by the growth of trans-oceanic travel and trade. Exhibits of museum-quality glass and demonstrations of contemporary and historical glassmaking techniques never fail to fascinate visitors. For more information, contact the Wayne County Historical Society at 570-253-3240 or wchshop@ptd.net.
