Press Release: Deadline Looms for Corning Bus Trip

Portrait Medallion of Louis XIV, by Bernard Perrot; Orleans France ca. 1685. The original can be seen at the Corning Museum of Glass.

There still seats available for the Wayne County Historical Society's bus trip to the Corning Museum of Glass on June 19, but the deadline for reservations is June 10. The museum's glass collection showcases more than 35 centuries of glass artistry, from a glass portrait of an Egyptian pharoah to a portrait medallion of Louis XIV to exquisite modern glass creations.

Bus patrons also have the option of visiting downtown Corning, NY or the Rockwell Museum of Western Art. The cost of the trip, which includes admission to the Museum of Glass, is $45 for WCHS members and $50 for non-members. For more information or to reserve a seat, call Gloria McCullough at 570-253-3240 or email wchspa@ptd.net.
