Press Release: Carousel

Passengers on the Wayne County Historical Society's bus trip to Cooperstown, NY on Sunday, June 7, will each get a chance to ride on the Empire State Carousel. The carousel, a feature of the Farmers Museum, was painstakingly reconstructed by more than a thousand artisans over twenty years and has twenty-four whimsical riding animals. The price for the bus trip, $48 for WCHS members, $50 for non-members, includes admission to both the Farmers Museum and the neighboring Fenimore Art Museum. "Trolley" rides into historic Cooperstown are available at $3 for an all-day pass. Tickets can be ordered by phone (570-253-3240) or email (wchshop@ptd.net) with credit card information or at the museum, 810 Main St., Honesdale, Wednesday through Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. The deadline for reservations is May 23.
