Press Release: Silent Auction for selection of Hiller's photos in exhibit

Jeff Hiller's magnificent photo exhibit at the Wayne County Historical Society, "Wayne County Faces and Places," will close December 31, but until November 28, many of the framed photos are being offered for sale in a silent auction. Shown is the exquisite "Dogwood," which will go to the high bidder during the society's annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, November 28. The open house begins at 4 pm and there will be time to bid until the opening of the bids at 6 pm. Potential buyers are welcome to visit the society's 810 Main Street museum any time during regular hours (10 am to 4 pm Wednesday through Saturday) to browse the exhibit and choose favorite photos to bid on. Bid sheets are available in the exhibit. Winners will be announced during the open house, but need not present. If desired, purchased photographs can be available in time for holiday giving. For more information, call the Wayne County Historical Society at 570-253-3240, email wchshop@ptd.net or check out the society's website, waynehistorypa.org.
