On Sunday, October 4, at Harvest Festival 2009 the Wayne County Historical Society launched a cash raffle to benefit the society's operating expenses. Tickets are $5 each; first prize is $1,000, second prize $750, third prize $500 and fourth prize $250. Shown is WCHS Research Librarian Gloria McCullough buying her ticket from Jim Bader, Chair of the raffle effort. Winners will be drawn at the Wayne County Historical Society's annual holiday open house on Saturday, November 28. Winners need not be present to win, but everyone is invited to the open house to tour the museum and share in the holiday refreshments. Tickets are available at the society's 810 Main Street museum or from any WCHS trustee.
