Locktender's House, James Manning House

Wayne County Historical Society Historic Preservation Awards will be presented to Walter and Marilyn Barbe, for the Locktender's House at Lock 33 in White Mills, and Warren and Janet Heinly, for the James Manning House, Bethany, at an Open House on Saturday, October 24, at 4:30 pm. Other recipients are Edward Ahern and David Hernandez for the Joseph Atkinson house, Hawley; Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Ahern for their house on River St., Hawley; Paul Ludick and Bill Anton for Maude Alley, Honesdale, and Kathy Schloesser for the Eliphalet Kellogg House, Bethany. A Historic Advocacy Award will be presented to Hawley Silk Mill LLC for their efforts to preserve the historic Bellemonte Silk Mill for contemporary use. Refreshments will be served and the public is invited to attend the presentation and open house.
