Press Release: Espino Exhibit at Capitol in Harrisburg


Juan Espino receives a proclamation from then Mayor of Honesdale Jonathan Fritz (currently a Wayne County Commissioner) on the occasion of his being invited to exhibit his paintings at the Musée International Dࢀ™Art Naïf de Magog, Quebec, Canada at their 2010 International Artist Exposition.
Hawley artist and gallery owner Juan Espino is being honored with an exhibit of his paintings during the month of October in the East Wing Rotunda of the Capitol in Harrisburg, and the Wayne County Historical Society is sponsoring a bus trip on October 1 so that Juan's friends and admirers can attend the opening reception. Espino is a trustee of the historical society and curator of its current Howard Becker exhibit.

The cost of the trip is $35 per person and will include a tour of the Capitol conducted by Rep. Mike Peifer prior to the reception. Payment MUST be received at the time reservations are made. Reservations can be made in person at the Wayne County Historical Society, 810 Main St., Honesdale, Wednesday through Saturday 10 am-4 pm and Sunday 12-4 pm or by phone (570-253-3240) or email (wchshop@ptd.net) with a credit card.

For those who cannot go on the bus trip, the paintings, including many of our local Wayne and Pike County area, will be on display throughout October.
