TUESDAY, August WCHS Speakers' Bureau presents "The Irish Experience in Wayne County," by Gene Tagle, author of the book of the same name. Damascus Historical Society, 7 pm. Free.

THURSDAY, August Wayne County Genealogy Group meeting.. This month's "Names." 4:30 pm, WCHS, 810 Main St., Honesdale. Beginners and experienced researchers welcome. Free.

SATURDAY, August "Sex Please, We're Sixty," play at the Ritz Company Playhouse to benefit the Wayne County Historical Society. Tickets $12 from WCHS, 810 Main St., Honesdale or at a special table at the box office the night of the performance.

SUNDAY, August Bethel School Open House 1-4 pm. Special presentation at 2 Carol Henry Dunn will speak about one-room schools in Wayne County. This is the last chance to visit this historic one-room school until next year. Free

SATURDAY, September Old Stone Jail Open House. 10 am to 1 pm. Free.

WEDNESDAY, September "Tastes of Wayne: First Wednesdays" at Tick Tocks, 760 Terrace St., Honesdale. Call 253-3733 for reservations, enjoy a great meal and support your historical society!

As always, the museum and research library will be open from 10 am to 4 pm Wednesday through Saturday and the museum is open on Sunday from noon to 4 pm.
